2. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. If comments are enabled on the site and you leave one, we receive the name, email address, website (if provided), and comment text you submit. We use this information only to respond to you and to run the site.
Information collected automatically
When you visit NamesClassic, we and our partners may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, language, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, the website that referred you, and your approximate location (derived from your IP address). This is collected through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, payment card details, or health information.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and its content
- To understand how visitors use the site, which articles are popular, and how to make them better
- To respond to your questions, corrections, and suggestions
- To show advertising and measure how it performs
- To protect the site against spam, fraud, abuse, and security threats
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies for these purposes:
- Essential cookies that help the site work properly and stay secure
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used
- Advertising cookies that help show and measure ads, including ads based on your interests
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the site may not work as expected, and you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense, a service provided by Google, to display ads on NamesClassic. Please read this section carefully:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Google may use advertising cookies such as the DoubleClick (DART) cookie, as well as web beacons and similar technologies, to serve and measure ads.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and read Google’s Privacy Policy.
Other advertising partners
Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on our site through Google’s advertising services. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies, and each has its own privacy policy. You can opt out of many of them through the links above. We do not have access to, or control over, the cookies used by third-party advertisers.
Personalized and non-personalized ads
If you opt out of personalized ads, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests. Cookies may still be used for purposes such as limiting how often an ad is shown, producing aggregated reports, and preventing fraud.
6. Analytics
We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to learn how visitors find and use the site. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device information, and pages viewed. If you would like to opt out of Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you visit NamesClassic from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using cookies or personal data for personalized advertising and analytics where the law requires it. This is done through a consent message provided by a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the privacy and cookie settings option on the site, or by clearing the cookies in your browser.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are your consent (for advertising and analytics cookies) and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the website.
8. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. We may share information in these limited cases:
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as our web hosting provider
- Advertising and analytics partners, including Google, as described above
- Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the security of the site
- Business changes, such as a sale or transfer of the website
9. Your privacy rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Visitors in California and other US states
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion or correction of your personal information, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising, and to not be treated unfairly for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Under some state laws, the use of advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings, through www.aboutads.info, or by contacting us.
How to use your rights

10. Children’s privacy
NamesClassic is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Data retention and security
We keep emails and messages only as long as needed to respond to you and for legitimate record-keeping. Server logs are kept for a limited period. Data collected by Google and other partners is retained under their own policies. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure.
12. International data transfers
NamesClassic and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
13. Links to other websites
Our articles and pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
14. Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals, so our site does not currently respond to them. You can manage ad personalization using the opt-out links in section 5.
